Blue and white hoops reach the Grill League Cup semi finals.

We reached the last four of the Grill League Cup with a hard fought victory against Islavale at Ian Mair Park after Daniel Agnew's last minute penalty secured a tie with Bridge of Don Thistle in three weeks time with a place in the final up for grabs.

We receieved a setback even before the tie kicked off with keeper Morgan Wood having to be replaced by Daniel Bell after being injured in the warm up.

We made a fast start and dominated the early stages. Only a fine save by Islavale keeper Ryan Brindle in the opening moments when he denied Daniel Agnew , but the keeper was beaten after 19 minutes after Gavin Byers slipped the ball under him after he latched onto Jack Walker's through ball.

However the tie took an twist moments later when we were reduced to ten men when debutant Naz Abdukarim was sent off for delibrate handball.

Daniel Bell's produced two stunning saves to keep us in front just before the break, showing superb reactions to touch Brodie Christie's point blank effort onto the bar.

Despite being a man down we were still creating chances and both Sam Robertson and Daniel Agnew coming close to extending our lead, however the visitors passed up a great chance when Christie fired over when completely unmarked at the back post just after the hour mark.

Sam Robertson missed a great chance to kill the game when he fired wide 15 minutes from time after a great run by Daniel Agnew and we were made to pay when Christie equalised for the visitors 5 minutes from time.

It looked like the tie was heading for penalties, but in stoppage time Daniel Agnew was tripped after bursting into the box, picked himself up and slotted home the penalty to put us into the semi finals.
